m (metre)

The letter m is the abbreviation for metre, the standard unit of length in the metric system.

• 1 metre (1 m) = 100 centimetres (cm).
• 1 metre (1 m) = 1,000 millimetres (mm).
• 1 kilometre (km) = 1,000 metres (m).

Examples:

• A door is about 2 metres tall.
