Face

In geometry, a face is a flat surface that forms part of the boundary of a solid (3D shape). Faces are usually 2D shapes such as squares, rectangles, or triangles.
For example:
- A cube has 6 square faces.
- A triangular prism has 5 faces (2 triangles and 3 rectangles).
- A pyramid has a base and triangular faces that meet at a point.
Key Idea: Faces are the “flat sides” of 3D shapes.
