The Water Cycle

What is the Water Cycle?
The water cycle is nature’s way of reusing water over and over again. Water travels around our planet in a never-ending journey — up into the sky, down to the ground, and back again! 🌦️
Step 1: Evaporation
When the sun shines on rivers, lakes, and oceans, the water warms up and turns into invisible gas called water vapor. This is called evaporation.
Think of it like water going on holiday into the sky!
Step 2: Condensation
When the water vapor rises high into the sky, it cools down and turns back into tiny water droplets. These droplets come together to make clouds. This is called condensation.
Step 3: Precipitation
When clouds get too heavy with water, the droplets fall back down as rain, snow, or hail. This is called precipitation.
Step 4: Collection
The water lands in rivers, lakes, and oceans, or soaks into the ground. From there, the journey begins again!
Why Is the Water Cycle Important?
It gives plants the water they need to grow.
It fills our rivers and lakes with fresh water.
It helps keep Earth’s weather balanced.
Without the water cycle, all living things would be very thirsty!
The Water Cycle Never Ends!
The water cycle is a magical journey that keeps our planet alive and healthy. Next time you see clouds, rain, or even a sunny day, remember — you’re watching the water cycle in action!
