Where is Earth?

Earth is the third planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is just the right distance from the Sun to have water, air, and life. This perfect spot is called the “Goldilocks Zone” because it is not too hot and not too cold!

What is Earth Made Of?

Earth is made up of different layers:

  • Crust – The outer layer where we live. It has land, mountains, and oceans.
  • Mantle – A thick layer of hot rock beneath the crust.
  • Outer Core – A layer of liquid metal that moves around.
  • Inner Core – A solid ball of iron and nickel in the center of the Earth.

Earth’s Land and Water

Did you know that about 70% of Earth is covered in water? That’s why it looks like a blue marble from space! The rest of the Earth has land with forests, deserts, mountains, and valleys.

Why is Earth Special?
